What Perspective
disorientation arises from a lack of context
this is inevitable: we rely on context for meaning
awareness of this disorientation and its cause
is like gaining traction on a slippery slope
the proverbial sapling on the face of the cliff
without it our footing is lost, gravity has its way
the trick is identifying context in its many forms
is the object under view an autochthon in this context
or has it landed here in mock in situ, allochthonous
to go in search of loose change abandoned on the ground
is to play in this realm of awareness and differentiation
amidst the organic backdrop of irregular shapes
a perfectly round object, even when seen at an angle
is an offending detail in the whole of this context
its symmetry asymmetrical to the irregular
the mind will always provide context
discerning between this provision
and what is truly present
is a necessary skill
in knowing what is real
and what an object means
