introduces distortion
I could look more closely
choose a narrower field of view
and lose this distortion at the edges
but with it would go this perspective
the awareness of this entire scene
the building in its own context

I could choose to look more closely
and that way see more in detail
getting close enough to touch
to feel the texture of the siding
and a sense of who might live here

what if I found or learned a way to hold
both of these perspectives at the same time
the broad view with its context and
the narrow view with its detail
and grok the sum at once
without elevating either
over the other
