Blocked In and Busting Out

an assortment of pressures
from within and without
above and below
slight misalignments
to the pull of gravity
the closing of an opening
blocking out the light

and these fractures emerge
as the widening gyre
the track left in the wake
of imbalance and disruption
the center losing its hold
in very, very slow motion
